
In today's Singapore, most households have only one or two children. This is probably due to 'stop at two' population policy in the 1980s as it was too successful in encouraging families to have only 2 children. Now, the government change the population policy to 'have 3 or more children if you can afford' and even give out baby bonuses and incentives to encourage families to have more children.
